Ad Astra Infinita: The New Evolution
A downloadable game
This is a post-apocalyptic turn-based combat sandbox RPG with a very loose definition of 'role-playing'. Expect to encounter very silly dialogue as you kill creatures and take their body parts to equip to your party, Spore-style.
Highlights:
>Challenging turn-based combat inspired by the Shin Megami Tensei series - build Limit by hitting enemies' weaknesses, then unleash devastating Transcend abilities!
>In-depth customization - take Mutagenes from fallen foes and use them to change your party members' elemental affinities and gain new attacks on the fly! Nothing is extensively tested, so find the overpowered combos and go wild!
>A lot of convenience features - trigger fast travel, turn random encounters on and off, and trigger specific enemy encounters with the touch of a button on the world map! Let nothing stand between you and the well-crafted combat system.
>Original soundtrack blending heavy metal with elements of orchestral and electronic music! Definitely no incongruous sounds here.
>Rampant abuse of technobabble that would make the developers of Master of Orion and Sword of the Stars proud!

State of the Game(As of May 13, 2025):
The game is not done, but it's complete enough to be fully playable from start to finish, with no major bugs known to me at this time. I'm releasing it now because I may never release it if I wait until it's perfectly satisfactory, and I want to get some feedback before I proceed further. Expect updates with new and revamped content in the next few months.
This is my first major game, so I'm releasing it for free and looking for all the feedback I can get. Please leave a comment if you played the game! As of May 13, 2025, the game is fully playable from start to finish, though I do plan to continue making updates to the game as I receive feedback through the end of 2025 or so, and to add some extra content here and there.

feedback time, I'm missing an enemy in the end of the magma section of the bestiary, don't know where it could be, You can only upgrade the sleep psychic to lv 3, so you can't craft the one that requires the lv 4. when fighting the overseer in space the game has a chance to crash randomly, it happened to me as soon as the battle started, on turn 3ish and on turn 10ish. In the ice cave I randomly fought the boss in the mindworm room without even first speaking to him and everything was stuck in dark mode until I teleported/used hyperspace, can't remember which it was. When I beat the ice boss it just told me the word and didn't give me any note or anything and wouldn't repeat itself, and when I tried to open the door to the hidden lab, I misremembered the word and had to look up possible words online and that sucked, the party chat function didn't help either. When you speak to the overseer in the plains he blocks the room with fire and doesn't extinguish it ever. Once you beat the plains tyrant and get gigantism and you can just speak to the overseer and fight the tyrant again to get more gigantism. And once you kill the overseer, he is still in the plains, and that's weird. When going back to the forest from the desert you skip the room the overseer is in. Once you beat the overseer you can warp to the command room and fight the commander without even entering the station, let alone talking to the human. The fact that you can beat the traitor at the lab and get the telemore breaks the story and should probably be removed. I could get the primal plasmid without even fighting the light lady, it's weird. A bunch of junk items in the traitor palace have no collision. In the back of the station, the path that leads to the lounge has to exit blocks at the end. One of these blocks leads to the lounge and the other leads back out into the station.
Also by the end of the game there is a noticeable lag every 4-5 steps I take.
Hey, thanks for playing so much of the game! I didn't expect anyone to make it through to the space station at all, so I'm glad someone did! And thanks for the detailed feedback! I'm working on a big update right now, so I'll try to address all of these things before I release it.
